Bracketology 3/15/24 – Penultimate Projections

Bracketology projections graphic for 3/15/24.
Edit 7:04 PM Pacific: An earlier version of this graphic listed Creighton and Morehead State multiple times. Iowa State-Akron is the 3-14 matchup in the Midwest. Thanks to Twitter user @CFBChampsLeague for catching it, go give him a follow.

These projections were made having taken into account all results through the Northwestern-Wisconsin game on Friday. Feel free to hit me up on Twitter @JakeLiker as per usual if you have any questions. I need to go touch grass now. See you all on Sunday for the final projections! Seed list is below. Some quick hits before we part:

  • The winner of Baylor vs Iowa State tonight will almost certainly be a 2-seed. The loser might be a 2 as well, depending on what Marquette does
  • I am extremely wary of Pitt‘s nonconference schedule
  • North Carolina is now in the driver’s seat for the last 1-seed
  • The cutline is razor-thin. Seton Hall and Colorado could easily be in the tournament. Texas A&M is firmly in that conversation as well, though the Aggies’ five quad-3 losses will probably keep them out of the Big Dance if they lose to Kentucky tonight
  • Northwestern is clinging to a 9-seed, and could drop to a 10 depending on what their NET looks like tomorrow
